Pro-Russian Separatists In "Bars" Gorka 3's, Middle Separatist In "SPLAV" Gorka 5. Circa. Ukraine 2015
Spetsgruppa "B" Vympel in SSO Gorka-E Leto "Summer" Gorkas.
"Gorka" is Russian for "Hill", They were originally designed for Mountain Troops in the Soviet-Afghan War due to the treacherous mountains within the Afghanistan region, However they are now widely used by many units of the Russian Forces. They are made from a strong canvas material with different types of materials being used for the areas that have the camouflage on them, With Camouflage "Bars" brand Gorkas they are mostly made of ripstop material whilst on "SSO" brand ones they are a smoother cotton material. "Bars" Gorkas were seen in use in the Ukrainian conflict as they are sturdy and reliable, whilst "SSO" have seen heavy use in pretty much all aspects of the Russian special forces where a lot of servicemen choose "SSO" for their private purchases as they are a well respected and known Russian Brand. "Legionnaire" Gorkas are fairly new to the market making a good option for people starting out building their Russian Loadouts as they are relatively cheap and very durable piece of equipment. The reason they are this two-tone of colour is that the Russian's believed that as a form of concealment it is very easy to see the shape of a person, if that shape is broken up into two fragments, the human eye is more prone to mistaking it as part of the scenery.
